1stly thx for visiting and 2ndly thx for d critics guys. I appreciate it but do let me get this straight... Honestly i do agree Belukar poster is awesome, i know the designer and he made a very very very good job... But my friend, Film poster is not a piece of fine art poster, it is part of advertisement and i believe u r on the same line as me as you seems good on giving comment. :)
And I believe you know what is research. Oh, you sure does, u asked me to do it btw. :D
Before i entered my company, I just exactly like you, who d fxxxx design the film poster? It's a piece of trash n bla bla. So what i did wasnt just criticize the company but I went to the company and ask for industrial training to see who d F was the designer and why the H was the design just like that.
Have you seen Captain America's poster for Asia? Or perhaps James Bond posters?
Look my friend, it was all about the target audience, what they wanna see, what they really interested with and where they are from. Belukar had an awesome poster and also a good storyline for the film but how much did they collected for the film? I stress it once again and more, poster is an advertising and 1 of the window for the audiences to see and decide whether it was a good movie or what. When we say DESIGN, it is the result of a research, which contains TARGET AUDIENCES, PSYCHOLOGY OF THE CONSUMER, TRADITION and more. It was like what you learned at college and more.
And those were the things I learned from the company. I know why the design should be like that and plus my friend, the poster won't be released without the proper research procedure.
I do agree my posters weren't the type people like us (yes, US) to feel amazed with, as we have to follow the target market's interest.
I do eagerly want to design a poster that have a good international touch.
I wish I could show you the posters I designed from the early time I worked for the company, I will if its the time my boss approved for them to be released for the public and then you can decide for yourself but for now, do some research of who are our main audience for Malaysian Film and hope you have some idea what the H i was mumbling, thank you for your time. ;)
For now I accept if you want to say i designed some trash but they still my kids, ok?
